Rod has been managing partner of Advantage Claims since 2014, the culmination of four decades of experience in the insurance industry. Throughout a diverse career, Rod has worked for a direct writer, government insurer, independent brokerages, and independent adjusting firms. In addition to his experience in claims adjustment, Rod spent a number of years in senior management positions on both the broker and claims sides of the insurance industry.
For many years, Rod has occupied a senior adjusting position in the independent sector, handling a broad range of files including industrial and agricultural property and liability, business interruption, bodily injury, oilfield and environmental losses, and heavy commercial and fleet transportation. Rod has also acted as a control adjuster on several national and local transportation fleets over the years, overseeing and personally adjusting a diverse collection of heavy commercial property, auto, and liability losses. Rod’s diverse array of experience in different sectors of the industry have also allowed him to develop a greater understanding of the interconnected nature of underwriting, risk management, and the claims process – consulting expertise that pays dividends in the assessment of future risk.
